Primary Newt: MP2100, my first love, and the MessagePad that never leaves
my side unless I'm in water.
Backup Newt: MP2000U, which I'm making into a clone of my primary in
preparation for the day (coming all too soon) when my primary Newt succumbs
wear and tear and has to be replaced. I prefer the 2000 body anyway so that
works out.
Two other 2100s: these are work-stations in my offices where they do
specific vital jobs. One of them uses the Newton keyboard since it has to
be able to interact with a lot of different people.
A small selection of desktops and laptops from the early- and mid-'90s. My
plan if I can make time for it is to network them around my 2 work-station
Newts. Otherwise, they'll have to go.
Printers: a StyleWriter 1200 and a StyleWriter (both of which recently
decided to stop working; I'll need to see if I can diagnose and fix at least
one of them.)
MacBook: now 4 years old, running Leopard/SL; the new ones just don't
inspire me, and Lion and Mountain Lion don't either.
This is the computer that I use for backing up all my Newt-work, and also
for feeding stuff to Newt from the outside world if I can't do without it.
I synch them with NCX through a Keyspan 28. My core workflow is my Newt to
this MacBook (and sometimes back again).
Mac Pismos: FOUR of them, one running only OS 9.2.2, the others
dual-booting 9.2.2 and 10.3.
Shalom,
Christian
