Yes.
The Newton OS doesn’t use a traditional concept of a file system that a Mac can read.
Thus you need to keep the card in the eMate (and remember not to file the ATA Driver to the card — I ended up doing that somehow and had big problems after that :).
While it’s in, just sync using NCX or whatever you use.
