Hoo boy.

My understanding is that when the Mailman list software was migrated to the new server, it triggered a fresh set of "Welcome" messages. However, when the member list was moved over from the previous installation, the old passwords were maintained (but the digest mode flags were not). That means that none of the "new" passwords apply to the "new" list.

This explains why so many people are having issues changing their digest mode themselves.

The next set of monthly list membership reminder emails should contain the correct passwords.
