[NTLK] Hardware and software for Newton OS development environment

Hi Guys!

I want to collect hardware and software needed to create a development environment for Newton. Can you recommend specific models of older Macs, operating systems, and the rest of the necessary hardware / software that will be needed? Macs models? Versions of Systems, programs, etc? I will be grateful for any advice / tip.
