FWIW Matt, I'm eager to see for the day when Einstein will reach the stage
that it can be a functional replacement for Newt when I'm on the go, so I
can retire her to the relative safety of my office desk. (One of my recent
flights found me watching helplessly as an airport "security officer"
molested her mercilessly, "accidentally" cracking her case in the process
and almost daring me to complain.) Meanwhile, my chances are looking more
and more slim of getting another 2100 that's affordable and in good
condition as insurance against Newt's eventual physical demise.

Like you, I don't care about manufacturer. I just want a screen, a stylus
that allows HWR, and an OS that continues my Newton experience. (For me
that ideally includes the integration of data I've learned to enjoy with
Newt but that's another story, I guess.)

So whoever makes the device, it has to have the ability to run my
applications (including the stellar software from SilverWARE), as well as
continue Newton-class HWR. For now, I have a Note 3 (one of the
NON-incendiary Samsungs) that I'll turn to that purpose, but who knows?
Maybe something else will prove to be more suitable when the time comes.

Anyway, a big thanks to you and everyone working on making the Newton
experience immortal.

Shalom,

Christian
