Thanks Ak, I tried the Newt again this morning and it worked fine. Good
thing, too, since I hadn't backed it up. Not sure what the problem was, but
the next step for me is to rebuild the battery, since after almost twenty
years it's not holding much of a charge anymore.

Also, in regards to being on the same planet, does anyone remember the
website Newton Planet?
