The desoldering was already a horrible mess. I bent the connector and damaged it. I did not have a decent oven when I soldered it back in, so I had to resolder it with lots of flux and a heat gun. That was a horrible idea. I finished it up by manually removing bridges and resoldering pretty much every contact anyway. The uncleaned board was then used to read an until then unknown ROM card and then vanished in an open box for two or so years. The box moved several times, and was sitting next to a contruction site, where the flux finally dusted in and gunked up. 

Long story short, I just ordered material for 20 brand new boards, a stencil, and I already have a decent oven with a good heating curve. Yay for new and gunkfree hardware.
