I hit Reply and sent this and then wondered why it wasn't showing up. I
didn't realize Reply goes to the individual... So, I'm re-sending and
moving it to the Newton Development thread, even though there is a

I almost never post here, but I read pretty much everything.
Seems like if there is a working interpreter, most of the pieces of a
compiler are done. OTOH, if it wasn't too hard, it probably would have
been done already. So I'm probably missing something.
I'm interested in all this and will be glad to help as time and ability
permit. I do develop (scientific visualization), but never have done any
mobile development. I wrote part of a compiler 3-ish decades ago for a
class, but most of my work is user/application level.
I had a thought about the (re)Newton Conference. What about video/audio
links? Then all that has to be agreed upon are the dates. I have no idea
how the cost/benefit would work out, or what the logistical challenges
might be. Just a thought.
