[NTLK] Serial connector parts for 2100?

Has anyone ever made their own serial dongle for the Newton 2x00 interconnect port?

One side of the connector is a Din 8 which is fairly common, but the other is a 26 pin dual sided flat connector. Is the flat connector generic enough these days to be available from an electronics part store?

It’s a shame that the dongles are seemingly rare enough to sell for $100US.
