Yes, I have seen his site, and have gone so far as to also download on a suitable Mac (Beige G3 running OS9) the tools I would need to attempt modifications, but that is as far as I got. Too many other time constraints.

(The Beige G3 is IMHO one of the best machines for working with the Newton. OS9, Serial ports, built-in Ethernet and the option of a USB card, [although it is only v1.1].)

I was not aware of the likely incompatibility regarding Google, https and the Newton OS, that is good to know. I was quite taken by this idea a couple of years ago, but it has since been left behind in favor of other projects.
