[NTLK] Getting Started card mystery

Hi Guys,

Long story short: One of the Newton users asked me how to run this card on Newton, because his card won’t work. I’ve tried my cards (i have 5 cards). Non of them works… So, I did quick tests and after short investigation I’ve wrote a few words about it - you can read it here: http://applenewton.co.uk/2019/01/06/newton-getting-started-card-inside/

I’m not specialist, so I don’t know about memory card types that much, but by me this card is ROM card (see pictures in my text on website). Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

So, my questions are:

1. How it is possible that ROM memory can fail in time?
2. If it is not a ROM, what it can be?
3. Is there any Newton user, who have working Getting Started card? Is it possible to make some ‘image’ with the software from this card, to save it for next generation? :)
