mbedTLS port passes the original mbedTLS error down to the endpoint client (Mail V here).
-29312 is -0x7280 in hex, which is MBEDTLS_ERR_SSL_CONN_EOF.
Apparently, the connection was unexpectingly closed by the other end. The eMate may be too slow or maybe it could work if you retry?
