[NTLK] UNDO: Unified Newton Development Overview

I wrote a little something for us to waste some time in the next week. Feel free to add/edit/comment.

Basically, I was hoping to make a single archive that allows everyone to learn about NewtonScript and develop apps out of the box to their heart's content.


Basically I am looking for devs who can implement networking (simple TCP server client communication) for Einstein, Basilisk, and maybe Wine on all platforms (MacOS, Windows, Linux, and additionally Android and iOS for Einstein).

There are other jobs too for non-software developers. I would love to have one central website for development that contains all resources: apps, docs, tutorials, samples, etc. . No mailing list or forum though :-) . So we would need some website developer, some graphics design, and someone to wade through documentation and extract information into exciting content. Maybe we can integrate that with Unna? I'll be happy to pay for the webspace.

I hope that this is a nice distraction for some :-P


UNDO: Unified Newton Development Overview

Purpose of this document is to unify Newton development into an easily accessible package for any platform. This should allow NewtonScript App development for everyone.

Original Newton development was done with a MessagePad, connected to a Classic Mac or Windows 95 machine over a serial cable. Apple sold the Newton Toolkit (NTK) as an integrated developer solution.
