a faster modem would help, but even so I don't think I'd call the
experience "surfing".
the main bottleneck on MP120 is one of system/application heap. if you
freeze most other apps, it is possible to slowly xfer and display small web
pages and graphics (e.g., with Newt's Cape), but you've really got to
adjust your expectations downward from the desktop with regard to speed and
size.
