No. The MP-100 doesn't support IrDA protocol, only ASK.

Since you can't use Ethernet with an MP-100 either, you're limited to:

1. buying a USB to serial adapter (try to find one that supports
LocalTalk if possible, it's faster than plain serial by far). That
should let you use the serial cable that should have been provided with
your MP-100.

2. if your iMac is on Ethernet already, get a Farallon iPrint LT which is
a LocalTalk to EtherTalk bridge box. That will allow you to hook up your
Newton to your network via LocalTalk too.

3. Get rid of the MP100 and get at least a MessagePad 130 for IrDA
(maybe, might require a 2x00) or a MessagePad 2x000 or eMate 300 for
Ethernet support.
