Neither your MP2k or your card *should* have a memory backup battery in
it. THe MP2k uses a "big capacitor" instead of a lithium coin cell (like
the MP1x0) to save the internal memory in case of power failure. As for
the card, flash cards shouldn't have batteries in them. SRAM cards do,
although the largest SRAM card I've ever seen was only 1MB.

In any case, if the card is still working in your Newt, I'd suggest *not*
removing it and making a few backups immediately.
