Re: NTLK Where to find a compressed Works? (kind of long)

You're going to need to change the Creator Code and File Type. I do it with
ResEdit (or I used to, now I use an AppleScript droplet that I wrote). Just
launch ResEdit (can be gotten from Apples ftp site), open a known package to
get the proper Creator Code and File Type (must be a package that NCU has
been able to recognize in the past).

To get the information required, just open the known package in ResEdit,
choose "Get Info for x....." (under the File menu; where x is the name of
the file), and make a note of the CC and FT listed there. Then open the
package that is not being recognized (you may get a dialog saying the file
does not have a resource fork, say yes to creating one), get info on that
file, and change the CC and FT to the same ones from the working package.

I'll try posting the text of the AppleScript in the near future, for those
who might be interested.

The Clinton Administration, the George Bush
