You can use ChatBuddy ($35 Shareware) for IRC. It's available for a
long time already.

Unfortunately, I find ChatBuddy to be somewhat buggy and unreliable. In my experience, it often bombs out in the middle of a session with a Newton error.
I wish it worked better, because it's a good program with a very good interface. It's just no fun to be chatting with someone and have your connection just mysteriously drop.
