Yeah, but is that something that gets reset? Especially if the Newton
has internal flash RAM?

I'm not sure (does anyone know?) I sure HOPE it doesn't lose your
password...otherwise you lose the benefit of the password to preventing
theft or access to your data (or all, if the newton someone stole has a
memory card where the data was stored instead of internally; just reset
the main newton to lose the password and then you can access the data on
the card.)
