Bill,

it used to, back in the days of ASCII-based Forums. Now that all the
Forums have switched to NISA, CIS Retriever is obsolete. The only way to
access CIS mail is via POP3, which requires a CompuServe Classic account.
There is no NISA-compatible client for the Newton, so visiting Forums is
not an option.
