I would export it in a tab-delimited format (might take some tweeking of
data layout) then import it to a Newton program called NewtDB- a nice
dbase program, not too expensive to register. Find more info at
web: http://www.netacc.net/~dmpsyst
I'm using the demo to keep track of call number of journals, but have
plans for the full version when I get around to it.

You could also use one of the "bookmaker" or NewtonPress type apps to make
a read-only NewtonBook out of it- see www.newtoncage.webjump.com for
downloads of some of the apps to use to make Newtonbooks. I've never
made a NewtonBook. Searching thru a 300-item dbase as a bok might be
a bit tough on you. I've played with the demo of NewtDB and like it a
lot, although I have far fewer entries in it.

>3) Any sites for programs for biologists?

www.planetnewton.com has, in the downloads area, a science area- more
stuff along the lines of periodic tables and the like.

BTW, where did you get your database of restriction enzymes, etc. That
would be neat to have on my Newton, too. Although I'm doing mostly
immunohisto- stuff at present.
