I have covered countless screw holes (to keep the dust out) this way:
Punch a hole in a piece of colored vinyl tape (hardware or art supply store - pick your color), with a single hole punch, glue side toward the punch head. Putting the tape aside, remove the vinyl 'hole' from the punch head with a single edge razor blade and use it to cover the
you-know-what.
