Actually.... The Apple InkJets (StyleWriters) were made by Canon EXCEPT for
the StyleWriter 6000 series which was made by HP. The first two lasers were
Canon engine machines, made by HP, after that it was HP all the way for the
lasers and the dot-matrix's ... I've no idea. That is why Canon ink
(soemtimes cheaper sometimes for expensive) works in the Apple inkjets and
why HP/Canon toners work in Apple's LaserWriters. I, myself, support the
company and pay their retail cost for my parts (That's $90 in toner for my
LW300 when the offbrand is $50... but hey I'm a man of integrity).
