For all it's worth, I communicated with a Newton developer and asked how
difficult it'd be to shrink the Newton into a more Palm sized device.
He said that it could be done with the loss of some features, but that
it'd still be far ahead of the Palm. He said that with a stronger
processor (am I getting my terminology correct here?) inside a smaller
body like the Palm, that producing such a device is not out of the
question. The matter is, as you all have said, is timing and know how
and capital. People from Hawaii would probably think it was just
another annoying mainland device that'd invade paradise with the next
wave of "fudgies". People from Indiana would probably not even notice.

I bet it could be done with the right people.

However, you must realize, of course, this comes from the twisted, sick
and terrible mind of a very, very bad, ugly American Dog.

Woof!
