What chipset (not brand) of card is this?

As far as I know (not much in this case) there are only a few chipsets
actually in use in these cards, but they may be relabelled by other
companies.

You can find Win95 drivers and DOS utilities for both AMD and Intel chipset
cards, but it takes a bit of looking, luck, and the Intel ones I had to
have emailed to me by one of the techs at the company that bought the Intel
chipset from Intel.

If I go home for lunch today, I'll put both sets of utils on my ftp server
and post the address. You will have to use the Dell laptop to try them
out.
Else they will appear tomorrow. They are a neat tool, at least they can
confirm that the card formats and verifies or not. Note that you canNOT
put data on them from the Win95 machine and have the data available for the
MP to use (in case you were wondering).

I have a 4 meg card that went bad, I can map out all the bad blocks from
the Digital laptop using these tools and have a useable 2 meg card on the
laptop; but unfortunately the Newton does not read the block availability
map (or whatever it's called on these cards) and tries to use all 4 megs
still (and fails). I've been meaning to ask Paul if he could patch the NOS
to map out bad blocks, if he cannot get the ATA thing going; that would at
least allow me (and the guy in Saudi Arabia) to get partial use of our
otherwise unuseable cards!
