No. These are actually saved in the Name soup.

Don't know.

And one more thing that you didn't mention: registrations. Most 3rd
party software will record your registration numbers/codes in the system
soup. That means that when you restore without the system soup, you will
eventually have to re-enter all those codes/registration numbers.

You might also loose most of the applications preferences, as most of
them are stored in the system soup.
