Justin,

I teach in the Tech Ed. department of a HS in Michigan, US. While I am NOT
the machine tool teacher, I will talk to him about the possibility of
producing some of the shells if you can pass on the data files.

Being a public school, we would not be needing to turn a profit on this
project like a shop, but we view work like this a partnership. Our students
get the opportunity to produce an authentic product and face real-world
problems in the production environment. Our partners get a quality product
(perhaps somewhat slower than they would at a business) at a lower price.
The school gets some revenue to put back into the program to purchase
tooling and materials.

I will need the details regarding the production requirements to discuss
with my colleague ASAP. If this idea has no appeal, let me know on the list.
If you wish to pursue it, email me off the list at ken@imageguild.com

best,

ken
