Attention Medically-Oriented Newtoneers!

Virtual Intern, an exceptional medical records application that runs only on
the Newton, is now available once again. PDAMed, the original owner and
publisher closed down like most Newton publishers several years ago after
the Newton was Steved. The company was purchased by a group that wanted to
develop further another (Palm-based) product, and the program that generated
the registration code for VI was lost in the transition. This made it
difficult for those of us who had to repair or replace our Newtons to
re-register the program, and made it impossible to sell the program.

After an extensive search, (documented on the PDA-Dash Site
http://talk.smaller.com/Forum1/HTML/002604.html) Dr. Leonard Bielory, the
new owner of the program, was contacted. He finally was able to retrieve
the source code from the personal PC of the original CEO, and graciously
allowed me to remove the registration-checking code. I was also able to fix
a couple of bugs and add a few enhancements.

Dr. Bielory has just informed me that he is making VI available again, and
has asked me to spread the word. The original VI website is still up
http://www.pdamed.com/newton/ and gives a good overview of the features, but
the program is only available directly from him. He has indicated that he
would provide it at no charge to people who had a need for it. You can
e-mail him directly at bielory_at_mac.com
