Web hop from dyndns will NOT change ports; just redirect incoming port 80
stuff to your other @home domain and home page URL port 80. No changing
of ports. Which you've likely read by now on their FAQs.

That said, it won't mean you can't bring the site with the info-newt domain
back:

IIRC, @home has the option to give you 10 megs home page space; jsut pay
dyndns $30 for your .com address, tell Network Solutions or whomever you
already registered with to use dyndns, and use the webhop to point to your
@ home web space.

The person browsing will never know it's being served from
people.athome.com/good-ol-bill or whatever. The www.info-newt.com will
still serve just fine.

I'm going to try this soon with my own domain. Just to see, and since I'm
putting up some newton content soon (some of you have had a partial look).
Since it's so cheep ($25 for bmcewen.org at dyndns, $30? $25? I forget
for bmcewen.org at network solutions. Might as well be the true geek and
get one. I'll drink domestic beer for a month (well maybe 2 months, I
don't drink much beer).

Webhop from dyndns is free if you don't mind the visitor getting a little
popup ad, $30 if you want to tithe and the ad goes away.

Really hope to see the site come back. Popular demand needed? We'll spam
the HECK outta your email, won't we! :) Parsing your headers now :)

BTW once I get the house setup and priorities arranged, an Ann Arbor Area
NUG BBQ or whatever here would be find with me...I think there's at least 3
of us? Not sure about Detroit.
