Huh? Being a native from the "Bois-Francs" that is mentioned in the above
link, I would challenge the affirmation that poutine was invented in
Warwick. According to many stories I've heard, the first poutine was
prepared by a restaurant in Princeville, not Warwick. And the "Fromagerie
Kingsey" thing is completely bogus. The guy that created this page is most
likely from the Warwick area :-) The first place that started making curly
cheese was the Fromagerie Princesse, in Princeville, with the Fromagerie
Victoria in Victoriaville quickly following. The owner of the Fromagerie
Kingsey quoted on the page was a previous Fromagerie Victoria employee that
left to start his own fromagerie.
Sorry, but being native of the area, I had to make corrections to that false
urban legend ;-) And no, I am not a native of Princeville, nor
Victoriaville!
