Yes, you will need the dongle and the cable. Both originally shipped with
the 2x00, but since you will have to buy second hand it may pay to ask
about them when you buy.

I have 3com 3c589C and 3c589D cards both working fine for my system. There
are lots of cards you can use, but support is by no means universal, so you
should check out the model number of your card here before you buy one.
