I think the reason for a dedicated converter is that not everyone has or can
afford Acrobat 5. And I don't know about anyone else, but I've NEVER
actually had the access.adobe.com page load. It just sits there and then I
get connection failed, so I'm guessing it must be a VERY popular page.
Also, since, by and large, most folks (I think) will be transferring their
PDFs from a desktop anyway, why not convert it first, on the machine that
has the memory and HD space, etc.? I suspect that the quality of results
you'd get from doing the entire job on the Newt will not be nearly as good
as if a conversion is done on the desktop first.
