One little thing I've always been unsure about:

I have a G4 Cube and can connect my Newton to it via a Belkin USB/Serial
adapter. Do both devices have to be turned off when plugging the serial
cable into the Newt? I know when connecting USB to USB devices this is
not a concern, but are there any precautions to take when plugging the
serial cable into the Newton while the computer is on?
