Frank,

just allow people to legally obtain a copy of your software. As long as
you do, there's no excuse for pirating software. If you don't, there is
(IMO). Note that I don't say that all Newton software should be freeware,
as someone else on the list demanded a while ago (although all the stuff
I have written is, and has always been, freeware). Receiving a financial
compensation for one's efforts, even when it is more symbolic than real,
is an incentive for writing software for an abandoned platform in the
first place. But if you can't be bothered to do anything with your
software, you should offer it to the public rather tan locking it in a vault.
