This immediatly rises the question how a new Newton should look like. Here's
my thoughts:
1. The display is like the new ePaper, you can fold it or coil it up as you
like. So all one needs is the Newton display foil.
2. Input by means of a normal pen or, if no pen is available with the finger
tip.
3. Since the display is a foil and can be folded, it is normal that one can
write onto the foil if it is folded down to stamp size. (This it the shit
pocket sized Newton :-)
4. Storage? Is not needed because the foil is connected by a BlueTooth link
with your cell phone. The cell phone itself organizes everything by himself.
5. The Ndisplay is normally wrapped around your pen. The pen is a telescope
thing and fits in the smallest backpocket. Normally you carry your pen at
your keyring but Ndisplay you savely store in your wallet beside the
greenbacks.
6. Or completely different: The display is built-into your eye or glasses.
It's like a laser beamer which projects the screen directly onto the retina.
This would avoid the nasty foil which you could forget at home...
Sorry to waste bandwith, but how is your idea of the absolute PDA?
