It has, alas too late, occurred to me that I probably appeared to single
out German persons as being none-too-innocent in times of war. Of course,
here in the US, we, too, simply watched (and, sometimes pounced) while our
government rounded up persons of Japanese descent and hauled them off to
internment camps and the like.

I'm sorry.
