Theory is one aspect, dayly practice another one.
Of course overclocking means more stress for the processor.
And a main factor is - to what extent you do the overclocking.
You might be lucky and the processor will do the job a life long.
But there is a certain risk that you are unlucky.
But this is the point where statistics come into play: as long as I am a
member of this list I have never heared about one single damage what has
been caused by or could be related to overclocking. And the number of
"overclockers" seems to be rather high.

But one thing you should be aware of: I think there is definitely no
possibility to implement the overclocking solution without any soldering,
the old crystal needs to be removed and the new overclocking circuit must be
connected in place.
