I'm Stuck!
I have an eMate 300 and a 3Com 3C589D Etherlink III card. I can'tget it to
work. After reading all the various tips here and on some web sites, I thin
I've installed everything. The extensions folder on the eMate contains the
following files:
Newton Internet
NIE Ethernet module
Newton Devices
Farllon Enet
3C589
Appletalk is set up to connect using EtherTalk. The card selected is
Megahertz 589D (My choices are Farallon Enet PC Card, Megahertz 589D, 589DT
and 589E)
I still can't do anything, and in fact, when I plug the card in, it says
that "Newton cannot recognize this type of card."
So what am I missing? I did get the card from eBay. I'm beginning to
wonder if there's something wrong with the card.
Thanks!
