Whenever I have had similar issues, and have tried removing and
reinstalling without success, I have always found that I was dealing
with a simple settings mistake. Double check your SimpleMail setup in
your Owner info. I bet you'll find some kind of typo. Perhaps you have
checked the Authentication box when you shouldn't have, or visa versa.
