I have an eMate that I'd like to connect to an iMac that uses Mac OS X. My understanding is that to do this, I need a Newton connection cable (mini DIN8 on both ends) and the Keyspan serial-to-USB converter, which costs about $80 retail (though sells for less on eBay).

Has anyone tried connecting a Newton device to an iMac with OS X on it? If so, are there any issues/problems I should be aware of?
