Hi All, Looks like I started Something, Huh?...
I knew I'd heard something about the GPS, but I'm using
an Garmin eMap now, and would like to have this as Compact
as possible. Plus, I need to have the port open to connect to a Kenwood
TH-D7G (HT)... I have looked at the Instructions for the Maps and making
them
but Got confused.. In the long run, what I'm looking for is the GPS and
Newton
to provide the maps and the HT to transmit the signal ( NewtAPRS )...
Can someone
send a link to maybe a better or simple to understand method of the map
making?..

I also would have little problem building a kit, I didn't know there
were such things, this
sounds like the old radio guys now!.... Thanks for all the Posts, and
information..
