My 3Com card NEVER shows a slip. This is perfectly normal with these cards.

Ok, by reading other peoples' experiences on the list, I found out my
system version was too old (717006). So I updated it to 717145.
Now, I no longer get an error when I insert the card, but neither does
an ID slip pop up (which the FAQ says means the card may be damaged). Am
I out of luck here?
