first, the website for my vinyl-working friend *should* have been
http://www.hollyaiken.com

that's what i get for typing instead of letting my newt figure out
what i meant.

anyhoo, to answer some of the questions:

>Where is it on her site???

it's not. i had her do a custom job for me and my inewt. i plan to
work with her on a revision of the pattern she's already got so that
it will fix some of the quirks with the pattern and then maybe MAYBE
if it's not too much trouble, she might think about offering up a
limited number to other newton folks. i'll keep you posted.

>It was it's own game, aptly titled "Leather Goddesses of Phobos". :)

yes. an infocom game by the late Douglas Adams. I have a copy, but
i've never played it. and yes, with YAZI, the registered version
anyway, you can play it on your newt.

>I believe the game you're referring to was called "Vinyl Goddesses from
>Mars". Ah, the days of the BBS, DOS VGA games, my 386, and the 14.4
>modem... (and before, it, the XT, the CGA/EGA games, and the 9600bps
>modem... and before it...)

never heard of that one, but it sounds like the name is a parody of
the infocom game i mentioned above :) and i played a LOT of BBS games
back in the day.
