Now, if we are talking about the 2x00, wouldn't rechargables require a
battey cage, or are we talking about opening the existing pack?

I've seen a lot of talk about molding battery cases and such for the
Newton, but wonder how many people have looked into the much cheaper
alternative of just using NiMH AA rechargeables? I use those for my
digital camera, and intend to use those with my Newton once it arrives
in a week or two. The brand I have were cheap at Office Max and have a
1400mAh rating, and charge within just a couple hours. I think I paid
$30.
