Its exactly as you observed but you can detach it w/o breaking something. I
remember badly but I believe you have to start with the tab between the card
slots and slant the screen before you can pull it out side wards.
I have two Newtons waiting to be opened and have their jaggies cured. I'll
make a few notes for removing the display and put them on my Newton pages.
