What if you freeze this "Font Widths" package (or move it to a card which
you subsequently remove) and reboot the Newton? That way if "Font Widths" is
not the same as "KFontWidths" you won't have lost a good package.
But I'll bet dollars to doughnuts that "Font Widths" is the culprit.
