I just wanted to report that I have just received the backup unit I
purchased on ebay for a great price from varietyshop aka
phillydiscounters and I am very impressed with the condition of the
unit (as well as the price). Everything seems in great shape without
scratches or missing parts. The only item that doesn't work is the
battery and that was hinted at by the seller and I had an extra
laying around anyway. I'm looking forward to moving up to a 32 meg
card now with a faster modem and a solid unit for a backup. It was
interesting to note that the original owner card was still in the
unit as well as the EZShow software and the clock had stopped ticking
sometime in July 1996. I felt like I was bringing the thing out of
suspended animation or something.
