I'm using it fine for my CIS POP mail with my MP21K and the set up is:

Name the new setup CIS London (or whatever)
Protocol: PPP
Configuration Server
User ID: 100024,317 (your CIS user ID)
Password =80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80 (your CIS login password)
Access Number: (Your local connect number)
When Closing: disconnect immediately
Primary DNS/Name Server Address 195.232.1.6
Domain Name compuserve.com
Alternate DNS/Name Server Address 195.232.1.7
Alternate DNS/Name Server Address 149.174.213.5
Alternate DNS/Name Server Address 149.174.211.5

Login (11 Steps)
Send =B6
Send =B6
Wait for Host Name:
Send CIS
Send =B6
Wait for User ID:
Send User Name
Send /NOINT/GO:PPPCONNECT
Send =B6
Wait for Password:
Send Password
Done =20

Owner Info (in the Setup folder of the Extras Drawer)
Show All Info
Check name, address and other stuff just in case
Email Internet: joelsciamma_at_compuserve.com
Ignore the Email Password in this slip

SimpleMail
Email - choose the only menu item available just entered
POP User 100024,317 (your CIS user ID)
Set Password =80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80=80 (the Mail Only password chosen above)
POP Host pop.compuserve.com
SMTP Host smtp.compuserve.com
