I don't think so. They're pretty much the same. However, the last AirPort
firmware update was only the the latter revision, so it's hard to tell if
the update was fixing something specific to that revision, or something else
that the owners of the first model would miss. I thought I've read that with
this firmware update, you have the ability to flash your AirPort cards so
that they can support WEP 128-bits encryption. It's not clear how the ABS
would flash the AirPort card in your laptop, and since the update is only
for the base station, you can't use it on your laptop to flash its AirPort
card. So, that was my only concern when I realized that the firmware update
was only for the latest model, the "Snow" AirPort Base Station.
