IrDA is some kind of serial connection, so it can pretty much does whatever
you can do with a serial connection. You could probably send TCP/IP packets,
but that's not usually what a serial connection can do, unless you use some
specific utilities that can squeeze the TCP/IP packet on one side of the
connection and retrieve it on the other side. By default, serial connections
don't support TCP/IP.
